Categories: Shaved Ice
Signature Dish:
Homemade jambalaya
About Us:
When me and my husband first met, he prepared some jambalaya for me. I said this is the best jambalaya I ever had. I suggested he sell this to others to let them experience this delicious food. After a few weeks we went to one of our church services and received confirmation that this is the direction we should go in. So that’s when Down South Turkey Wings was started. We started our business under a red tent , on side of the road with $400. After about four months of being in the heat, the cold, and the dark along with a lot of long, sleepless, nights we were able to purchase our first food truck together. It was such a blessing seeing what we had accomplished with remaining humble, being dedicated and consistent. As of today we’ve just purchased our second food truck. It’s been such a blessing. The road has not been easy but, we thank God for every moment. God is so good !!

About Us:
I started the food truck business in Dallas, TX, about 7 years ago. I wanted to give the community a little taste of Louisiana because I was missing the flavors that I was use to back home. Once the community got a taste of the food the rest was history. I started getting more exposure, I've competed in tasting Championships, which we have won several 1st prizes for the Best tasting Gumbo.
I participate in numerous festival around the State of Texas which includes the Conroe Catfish Festival, The Taste of Dallas, The Margarita Festivals just to name a few.
