Born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, Chef Ronald Williams established his love for the culinary Arts within the kitchen at a very young age. This was a natural talent which he developed from his late grandmother Mrs. Monica Williams, hence the name of his company Mama Willie’s Kitchen. His sincere devotion, passion, determination, and hard-working attitude landed him a job on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line as a dishwasher. After just a few short weeks of working he was promoted to a Commis 2 position and have been in the field ever since. He has served in many positions over the last 14 years such as Chef the Partie for the Marriotts, Executive Sous Chef for The Farmers Table, Executive Chef for the La Mattina’s Management Group, and Executive Chef of Waterfront. Now Ronald spends his time working for himself on his food truck called Mama Wilie’s Kitchen with the dream of one day being able to own many restaurant chains across the world. He knows that this is a very achievable goal because he lives by the quote “Slow progress is better than no Progress and we never fail until we stop trying”.

About Us:
Born and raised in the heart of Hawaii, my name is Trebor Hartley, and my journey into the world of food began amidst the rich tapestry of flavors that define Hawaiian cuisine. With over two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, my passion for authentic Hawaiian fare runs deep within me. It's not just about the food; it's about preserving a cultural heritage that speaks through every bite.
For years, the dream of owning and operating my own restaurant danced tantalizingly on the horizon, a beacon of possibility in the vast sea of culinary aspirations. However, as with many dreams, the reality of budget constraints often cast a shadow over its attainment. Yet, fate had its own plans in store for me. When the opportunity to venture into the world of food trucks presented itself, my wife, Cathleen Hartley, and I saw it as a chance to chase our dream within the confines of our budgetary limitations.
Thus, armed with a tight budget, boundless enthusiasm, and a profound love for traditional Hawaiian food, we embarked on this exhilarating journey by purchasing a small food trailer. Our goal? To bring the flavors of Hawaii to the streets, to share our cultural heritage with every customer, and to turn our long-held dream into a vibrant reality. With each plate of Kalua Pig, each bite of Shoyu Chicken, we are not just serving food; we are serving a piece of our hearts, a taste of our home, and a slice of Aloha spirit to all who seek it.
